“Allow God to be the matchmaker of your life because your feelings could fool you.”
When God sends you the man you’re called to be with… you will know. This man will speak not your flesh, but to your spirit. You will experience something with him that you have never experienced before. He will love you in ways that other men didn’t, and it will be so worth it when you meet him.
Being Single can be a difficult time for both women and men. I know I can speak for the ladies when I say waiting for your Man Of God can be challenging, testing, and overwhelming. As women we are supposed to be pursued by the man. Sometimes, women may feel that the man is taking too long and needs some help or a push, try to initiate things from our end. That right there is a NO! NO! When we are waiting for our Man Of God to make his appearance, we are to be focused on God and getting ourselves together. I find that when you are constantly thinking about your future spouse, and when and how your going to meet them, it makes the process seem more frustrating, miserable, and drawn out. There are a lot of things that we can do in the mean time as we wait for our special someone:
Focus on your walk with God– Pray, Read the Bible, and work on whatever you may be struggling with at that point and time (lying, being sneaky, anger, unforgiveness, masturbation, pornography, etc.). Get delivered from it so that won’t be a hindrance to you.
Work Out– Staying fit and healthy is always a good thing. Men are visual creatures so I know they would appreciate it if the lady they have interest in takes care of their body.
Go to Church Consistently: When you are in the house of God your are so consumed by his presence and glory that your mind is not wandering off, turning into thinking about your future husband.
Learn to Cook– I think all the men would appreciate this one, because we all know men love to eat. So a woman that can cook will be a plus for your future husband.
Live in the present time– Enjoy what is going on right now . Do not focus so much on what you want, but do not have. Use the freedom that you have now to live and enjoy. Once your future wife or husband comes and you guys start courting, you guys will be together 24/7.
Visit Friends and Family– Who doesn’t enjoy spending time with their loved ones?
Read– Reading is fundamental. =)
Be Careful! Looks are deceiving :
Now in the midst of the wait, I can guarantee you that there will be distractions and impostors. What I mean by that is the enemy will send people who may have the full package your way to make you think that person is for you. This is why it is important to keep your prayer life in full effect, read your Word, and communicate with our heavenly Father on a daily basis. You will receive discernment and know if he is or is not the one for you. We all have this picture of what we would like our future spouse to look like from the hair, skin complexion, eyes, teeth, height, weight etc. The enemy knows what you like, and he will send distractions to keep you from who God has for you. When two God fearing people come together as one, the devil already knows that he is in trouble.
I can personally testify and tell you that the enemy sends distractions. I am going to be transparent with you guys for a minute. I met this one guy at a function. He was a keyboardist at a church, and he helped out other ministries if they needed an organist to play for them. He was 6″5, handsome, everything that I would be attracted to. That was attractive to me because there is nothing like a man who worships, plays an instrument, and can sing. So I met him at this function, and we exchanged numbers after talking about my church and how he would like to come and fellowship with the youth (we have youth night once a month).
About a week later, he sends me a text and we talked everyday from that point on. We hung out a few times and I liked him, but there were some red flags. At times the spirit of discernment would take over, and I would have doubts that he could be the one. Even though he went to church faithfully, played in the church band, and was involved in his ministry, he was not who I thought he was. I found out he was keeping secrets, listening to worldly music, always out partying, he had a problem with keeping his hands to himself, he would curse from time to time, he would drink alcoholic beverages. It was something that, as a Woman of God, I did not find acceptable. I know Who and Whose I am, and deserve better.
Even though I saw those red flags I ignored them because there was finally someone showing me attention, and I didn’t want to be some again. It got to a point where he was emotionally and mentally abusive. Even though I knew who I was in Christ I would start to second guess who I was. I almost lost myself because of how I let this guy treat me. It was so draining and I felt hopeless. When I finally worked up the guts to walk away I felt so free. That was a wake up call that I need to wait on God, stop trying to make things happen that aren’t meant to be, and stop trying to do things before His time. WAIT DO NOT SETTLE!!!!
God has BIG BIG BIG things planned for our lives when we let Him have His way, in His timing. God wants to bless us with someone who is going to take care of you spiritually, emotionally, financially, and physically. God knows what we like, so there is no need to be worried about your spouse being unattractive, or someone that you will not love. God is a God of Love and he wants the best for us. They may not have EVERYTHING you want in a wife or husband but he/she will have what you need. When you walk out of His will for your life, and you go ahead of God and plan your life the way YOU want it to be, that is how you mess things up. You could end up ruining your life by settling because you don’t want to be alone. Whatever you do, do not settle. When you see who God has for you, you will be happy that you waited.
A Note from The Father……
No Man can ever claim you unless he claims you from Me. I reserve a man for you who has MY heart and loves me even more than he will love you. Soon you will know him, I have the perfect time. You’re my princess, my daughter. Let no prince claim you unless he asks you from My hand for I AM your Father, the King of kings. You, my princess, are worth loving and deserve a prince”
So Remember……GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU & THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!
xoxo God Bless ❤
