He Is Jealous For me

John 15:5; I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Have you ever craved someone’s attention so bad that you would do whatever you needed to do to get their attention? When I think of that illustration it makes me think of  how God is when it comes to His children. God loves us so much and he wants us to want him! God will allow things to happen in our life to get our attention and also grace us with another chance to come to him! People may question Why is it so important to  have a relationship with God? As believers we come across a lot of obstacles not saying that people in the world don’t, but the obstacles that we face we can’t face them like everyone else. Having a relationship with God will help you make the right decisions, it will help you deny your flesh and deal with situations in a way that will avoid confusion and chaos.

When you have a relationship with God he can speak to you in a moment where you feel lost, you will have a bond with Him that no one else has. You won’t have to question if he is with you, if he is listening because you know who he is and He is in you. God gave us his love without conditions, he just wants us to draw close and commune with Him. How amazing is that? In the world we live in today we have to be mindful of who we build relationships with because people have ulterior motives… but not God! When we build a relationship or better yet a foundation in Christ we don’t have to look over our shoulder or question Him because HE IS LOVE AND HE IS PURE!!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

   Date Nights with my Lord!
During my current season of Singleness I have built a pretty solid relationship with Jesus to the point to where I have date nights with him. I know it sounds silly! But I truly  enjoy them! The night would consist of worship , the word, prayer, and me talking to God. I would  literally have conversations with God about every and anything! Keep in mind when talking to God he hates murmuring and complaining so try not to complain =) . There is something about sitting at His feet and being able to  just soak in his presence, there is such a peace that comes over me and nothing else matters to me at that moment.  I find it that in my single season that’s where my relationship with God has grown a lot because there are no distractions aka boyfriends!
I want us to take a moment and evaluate our relationship status! If I were to give you a piece of paper that asked you what’s your Marital Status with Jesus what box would you check off?
Single? – You love your freedom, dance to the beat of your own drum, no accountability, one minute you want God next minute you want your flesh.
“It’s complicated”? – You know to do right  and want to do right but you are on the fence on whether or not you want to do right! You are torn in between stages!
Engaged?– you’re in a relationship with God, but your still trying to figure things out and getting your commitment to where it needs to be so you can be all he has called you to be.
Married?– You’re fully committed, all you want is God.. you have eyes for no one but HIM!  He is the first person you think about when you wake up to and the last person you think about  before you go to bed. You live on purpose for Him,
Divorced?– You feel overwhelmed, suffocated, can’t candle it! Rather do this thing we call life on your own… Your better off alone and doing things the way YOU want.
Which one would you choose?
How can I deepen my relationship with God?
  • Seek God On Purpose; Isaiah 55:6-7; Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

You do not have to wait for something to happen for you to seek God. Unfortunately it takes drastic measures to get people to see God. Seek him on purpose. Do not wait for a feeling just do it! If you wait to “feel” like seeking God you may never do it .

  • Deny your flesh; Galatians 5:19-21;Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I cannot stress this more and more we need to DENY! DENY! DENY! our flesh. The word says our spirit is willing but our flesh is weak! Our inner man ( spirit) wants that relationship with God but because we are wrapped in flesh, born and shaped in iniquity the temptations around us tend to look more appealing and satisfying than what we know is right. When you get to the point where you can deny your flesh and have self control it will be hard for the enemy  to dangle bait in your face and you take it, because you have self-control and a relationship with God.

  • Separate Yourself: 1 Corinthians 7:15; But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Distance is most of the time necessary! When you spend time by yourself you don’t have distractions. You can spend time with God learning about him, growing in him, letting him do a work in you that will draw you to your purpose. Most of the time when you seperate yourself from the crowd God will show you the people who you surround yourself with. Sometimes the people who we surround ourselves with is what is causing confusion, distance from God,  chaos, and just unnecessary issues.

  • Pray: 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Pray without ceasing,

Last but not least….PRAY!! Your prayer life is the way we communicate with God. Communication with God is what helps our relationship with him grow and become strong.

So I want to challenge you guys to have date nights, or quiet time with God. Let him minister to you. Get to know him and build a relationship with him.

I hope this blessed you and encouraged you as well.

xoxo.. Z.M.

Let’s Be Transparent!!

( This is a new segment that I want to do, where I can be transparent with you all and talk more personal with you guys. I will be talking from a place of self, life, love, relationships, heart, thoughts, randomness ect. If you guys have any questions or topics you would like to discuss this will be the segment we would do that. I hope you enjoy… Love you )

I read a post the other day that really touched me. Touched me in a way that it wrecked me! Mariah Houghton Rideau posted a blog recently that spoke about why she had been absent from blogging and social media. She was very transparent and real. She was nervous to post because she was taking us into her inner most deepest thoughts which alone is scary enough! There were so many things that she touched on that made me feel like *phewww I’m not alone on this roller coaster we call life* There are times when we doubt ourselves, I know I am not the only one who has doubted themselves. For myself there are times where even though I may write good content and I do believe and agree with what I write, however I am going through it at that current moment and sometimes its feels as if I am being hypocritical because I am saying one thing and being positive and encouraging but yet I am going through, and may not be as positive in real life, and dealing with that current state in my life. You know that saying “practice what you preach”. Mariah wrote :

“I feel like a disappointment, that the person who prays depression away for you still deals with it herself. The girl who writes about lonelinesss still asks God ” where have you been?”. I’m sorry if this disappoints you, that your favorite instagram girl is actually insecure” -Bonjour Mariah

Let me tell you when I read that I felt that in every part of my body!! I was shook! There have been many occasions where I have felt like a disappointment or as if what God has placed on my heart to do was a waste or a mistake. I even questioned myself like ” did God really tell me to do this? or was this me?”. When people don’t support you or fake support you, or don’t read what you put out it can be a little disheartening. Many people only see what we allow them to see as far as the good, bad and the ugly. It is rare that people let you see the UGLY side of their life because they want to paint an unrealistic life that everything is gucci and life is stress/problem free #iwish. They do not get to see the ugly side to things and what goes down behind the scenes. These past few months have been a battle for me mind, body, spirit and soul. A BATTLE!!! When God gives you a mandate and you work towards fulfilling it, best believe a fight is around the corner. Not a physical fight but more so a spiritual fight.

” I’m writing from a lonely place. From a place where I feel infinitesimal. From a place where honestly, I read back on my posts from the past and wonder why anyone would want to read something written by me. Someone so malaise, someone still struggling in infinite areas” – Bonjour Mariah

When the Lord told me to start a blog this was in 2010-2011 I was hesitant because I was not sure what I wanted to talk about or who my audience would be. I put it off for so long but the Lord would keep reminding me of what he told me to do. Long story short the Lord gave me insight on what He wanted me to do as far as audience and he gave me the name, and in 2016 I decided to finally submit and be obedient. Nothing is more intimidating than posting things especially about the word of God. Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on what is right or wrong, and in today’s world everything is debatable and very opinionated, so you never know the feedback or clapbacks you will get.

Thank God I have not received any negative feedback ( at least to my face), however the thought does play in my mind at times, and I know its the devil who brings thoughts like ” who wants to hear from you?” , ” you are not a preacher“, “your struggling in that area, you have no room to talk” ect. Now one thing is when I do write about certain things and I may be going through it at that time, I am not only helping others but I am also helping myself. Sometime you have to give yourself a pep talk and get your life ALL THE WAY together and back on track. Its one of those moments we all have where you know what to do, but sometimes you rather be difficult and do what your flesh wants. So when I post my blogs I am like “Ok Sis, you can’t be out here tell people not to do this, that and the third, and you do the complete opposite”, because at the end of the day I will have to give an account for what I am tell you guys and my actions as well. The word says in Matthew 18:6 ;

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

So I pray that I everyone is enjoying what I post and they are able to relate, get some insight and understand a little bit more. I pray I can be more transparent with my life and things that I struggle with on a daily because I am NOT PERFECT AT ALL and I sin daily but I know I have some wisdom that I can drop on you guys and help your walk and growth in the Lord. Everyday is a new day for Growth so let’s Grow together.

Feel free to let me know some topics or questions you would for me to do in this segment. I am open to ideas..

Love you all to pieces,

Make a Joyful Noise

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. ( Psalm 100)

Have you ever found yourself smiling or singing? Not for any particular reason just because? That’s how I like to live my life. Happy, Joyful, Excited not for any particular reason just because! I’ve had people come up to me and ask my why  I’m always smiling or why am I always happy, as if its a bad thing. It’s almost as if some people feel like  being happy has to come with a reason.

Our joy is spread through the good news of Jesus’ loveIt’s not enough to be filled with joy and keep it to ourselves. He wants us to share his love with others. Now, You may be thinking what is “Joy” exactly? Is it being happy 24/7?Always smiling? finding the positive in the negative? staying positive? Well after much research I found what I feel is the best way to describe joy! Its That deep awareness that whatever our circumstances may be, they are orchestrated by our God for our good. After seeing this definition it made me look at Joy in a different way. No matter what we go through there is always joy on the other side.

The Prodigal Son

I want to take a quick look in the book of Luke 15:11-32  I want to talk about the prodigal son real quick when you get the chance i encourage you all to read this chapter. There was a man who had two sons and the father had a inheritance for his sons to have when he died. The younger son did not want to wait for his father to pass he wanted his share right then and now. The son demanded that his father give him his share, so the father did such. A few days later the son gathers all his belonging and left his father’s house and traveled to a distant country where he wasted his fortune on reckless immoral things. Fast forward the son’s joy and excitement soon came to an end when a famine came and the son was now homeless and had no food to eat. He ended up looking for work and was feeding pigs he became desperate to the point where the pigs food started to look appetizing to him. The son knew that he would die of hunger if he stayed where he was.

The son could no longer continue to live like he was , so he started to practice his speech for his Father because he knew he had to go home this was just unexceptional. Fast forward some more, he gets to his father’s house and says ” Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son” The Father was so excited to see his son and became compassionate for him that he threw a feast for his sons return home. Now the older son was out in the field and when he returned home he heard music and saw dancing and did not know what was going on. The Father told the son that his younger brother came back home. The older son was furious as to why there was a party going on for his brother who was ungrateful. The father’s response to his son was ” Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. But it was fitting to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was ( as good as) dead and has begun to live. He was lost and has been found”.

Joy is an easy thing to lose but also an easy thing to get back. There are things in our lives that can take away our Joy such as losing a job, people being mean, someone passing away, people on your job even people in your church ( lets be honest). You have to look at your life and examine what is taking your joy?  Once you’ve figured that out then it must be corrected.   (Lamentations 3:40 says “Let us test and examine our ways. Let us turn back to the Lord)

7 Things you should know about Joy:

  •  Wordly Joy is not going to sustain you.

(Job 5:20; That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the godless but for a moment.)  In other words wordly joy is temporary and it comes and goes depending on the situation at hand.

  • True Worship and Joy go hand in hand

( 1 Chronicles 15:16; And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethen the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with Joy) When I worship I have joy exuding out of me and I say that because nothing gives me more joy than being in Gods presence but not just that being able to sing to him and show him how much he really means.  Worship is the time where you can be intimate with Him and Love on Him.

  • Joy is a Gift from God

( Galatians 5:22; But the fruit of the spirit is Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…..) Joy is a gift from God. As believers we should be walking in the fruits of the spirit. God commanded us to and since Joy so happens to be one of the attributes we must obey!

  • Doing God will, will increase your joy

( Philemon 1:7; For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.)Who wouldn’t feel good knowing that they are pleasing the Lord. Think about when you were younger and you would get praised for doing something right! You would feel really good about yourself and be on cloud 9. As believers when we do what we know is right and living how God called us to live and  just being obedient and righteous you feel like you can take on anything nothing can take your joy.

  • Never let Circumstances steal your Joy

( 2 Corinthians 6:10; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing.) We tend to let things that we go through tear us down and make us feel less than. We all face trials throughout life but knowing that Gods Love overrides our flaws should cheer us up. Yes we make mistakes and stumble but knowing that our Lord is merciful, forgiving and gracious should make us walk in the joy that we have been given. Now just because our God is merciful, forgiving and gracious that’s not a pass to act up on purpose. (“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness” (James 1:2-3).

  • The only thing that can steal your joy is “Sin”  ( James 4:17; It is sin t know what you ought to do and then not do it)

As believers when we continue to sin and live more so for the world then for righteousness and holiness that should not feel good to you. Anything that disappoints our heavenly father and goes against what he tells us to do should definitely have an effect on us. Think about how sad, mad, frustrated God gets when we continue to sin, repent, and do the same sin again, breaking our vows to Him. Thinking about how our actions make God feel should cause us to want to change and have Joy again.

  • Rejoice ALWAYS!!!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you”

I want to challenge us all to walk in Joy, no matter what your facing walk in Joy. What your facing is temporary and you will come out victorious and rejoicing!

Tug Of War

Quotefancy-1939581-3840x2160

Who has ever played Tug of War when they were growing up? For those of you who are not familiar with Tug of War it is a sport that directly puts two teams against each other in a test of strength: teams pull on opposite ends of a rope, with the goal being to bring the rope a certain distance in one direction against the force of the opposing team’s pull.

There are moments in life where we can get swept away with the movements around us. It could be you know you need to cut certain people out of your life but your afraid of what will happen once you’ve let them go, or you are being delivered from alcohol, drugs, porn, masturbation ect, but the sin keeps call you and your straddling the fence on should you satisfy your flesh or deny it. You know God is a forgiving God so you try to use that as an excuse to sin and cover up the guilt and shame you feel.

If you have or are going through this you are not alone. I battle with things constantly. I tend to go back and forth whether it be in my mind/thoughts and emotions. I know what God expects from me and what he would like for me to refrain from, However it is easier said then done sometimes. We know we should live for Christ at all times and be obedient but on the other hand we have times where doing it our way seems to be easier and self gratifying. In reality thats a lie. The more we go against the Word of God the further we push ourselves away from Him.

The devils goal is for us to stray away from God, to get us to the point where we become self-righteous, self-centered, keyword: SELF! Satan wants us to think that we don’t need God we can do it all by ourselves which by the way is a lie straight from hell. This is why the enemy attacks our mind and heart, those two combined is a powerful thing. The devil will have you think “if I do it this once I won’t do it again” or  ” God doesn’t expect me to be perfect so if I repent afterwards it will all well with my soul”. The bible says in

James 4:17; Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to Him it is SIN!

There is a TEST!!!

In the beginning when I was explaining how the game of Tug Of War one thing stood out to me, when I wrote “puts two teams against each other in a test of strength” that spoke to me. I envisions an angel on one shoulder  and a devil on the other shoulder. On one side you have the angel speak life and keeping you in the will/ alignment of God, and on the other you have the devil speaking deceit, lies, death, confusion, just a lot of mess in your ear. Of course what the devil is saying is speaking to your soul because he is saying what you want to hear and you try to tune out the right and holy things out because that’s causing you to kill your flesh.

What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? As believers we know that God is not a liar and everything he speaks ALWAYS comes to pass right? So when we are in the game of Tug Of War we are in a test to see how faithful and honorable we are to God. In the middle of  the chaos are we giving room for the enemy to come in and bring suggestions and confusion? Or are we speaking life and the word of God  into the situation? When we are going through are we to focused on what we see in the natural that we forget that our God can make what looks impossible possible? While we are going through are we murmuring and complaining or are we rebuking every thought that is not of God?

The way that we deal with situations shows and proves our faithfulness, loyalty, love, honor and trust that we have in God. Now when we sit and let Satan minister to us instead of God, that is how we walk ourselves right out of the will of God and into disaster. Th devil may be tugging at you trying to deceive you with thoughts like ” You serve God and he says he will never leave you nor forsake you but where is he? Why are you in this predicament? Believe it or not the devil knows scripture as well  but he will twist it, this is why it is important to be able to discern and know Gods’ voice versus the devils. Don’t be afraid to speak back to that lying wonder. Let him know ” Yes, My God will NEVER leave me nor FORSAKE me and no matter what I am faced with I know HE will bring me through. I am more than a conqueror, I am His Child and he Loves me! I rebuke you in the name of JESUS and I cast down every spirit of confusion, chaos, deceit, doubt, fear and lie that you try to send my way. You are a liar and there is no truth in you” You have to let that foul devil know you are not the one.

How to Get Through:

I want to help you guys out with some things that I have done that have helped me overcome certain areas in my life that I needed deliverance from. They say if you do something consistently for 21 days it becomes a habit. So i want to challenge you all to try these tips below for 21 days and see your life transform.

  1. Seek God Daily- Find scripture on whatever it is you are struggling with and meditate on it, let it get DEEEEEP DOWN in your spirit.
  2. Pray- Prayer changes everything. Prayer is one powerful weapon to cast down and destroy all works of the enemy.
  3. Stay away from triggers- If you want to be delivered from:
  • Drinking- stay away from bars, clubs, liquor stores, atmospheres that would make you weak and cave in. If need be eliminate people out of your life who won’t help you overcome or support/ encourage you stay on the straight and narrow path.
  • Porn– Stay off the websites. If you have to stay off the stores, computers, phone any technology that would allow you to view that material. Even fast from technology and when you get the urge to satisfy the flesh Pray.
  • Masturbation– This goes hand in hand with Porn. Stay away from TV Shows, magazines, conversation, music that could trigger feelings.  When you get the urge deny the flesh get on your face and pray cry out to God.
  • Drugs– delete that dealers number out your phone, ignore every call that comes to your phone that you know is going to cause nothing but issues.
  • Gossip- When people come to you with he say/she say or “did you hear” let them know you do not want to hear anything that is not of God. Dismiss it and keep it pushing. Do not get swept in. If you can’t leave and you’re stuck lets say your in a car and gossip is being told DO NOT ENGAGED! If anything just say we should pray for them.  Use your mouth for good not evil.
  • Unforgivness,Pride,Strife..……and the list goes on.

4)  Have someone who can hold you Accountable– When you are having a weak moment it’s good to have someone who will listen and not judge but at the same time let you know what thus saith the Lord and do it with LOVE.

5) Stay in the Church. Keep getting fed, stay encouraged,God has given us Shepard to watch over our souls if you need counseling go and speak to your leaders. They will help you. I know some people prefer therapists and counselors whatever your comfortable with just seek help.

Matthew 26:41 ; Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

I love you all, stay encouraged and be blessed ❤

“One of my biggest fears as a believer is being  disobedient and out of the will of God that I miss my calling and the souls that God called me  to win for HIS  Kingdom their blood is now on my hands.”

I heard a testimony of two young ladies one was a Christian (we will name her “Josie) and the other friend was a Christian as well but I don’t think her walk with God was as strong as Josie’s, anyway we will name her ( Diane). They were best of friends. The Lord would unction Josie to invite her friend Diane to church, Josie’s father was a Pastor and a Mighty man of God. Josie wanted to invite her friend but for some reason never did. Josie would ignore the unction of the Holy Spirit. This happened on multiple occasions but she never obeyed what she was being told to do. Josie had many, many opportunities to invite her friend to church since they were always together. Long story short behind closed does Diane was battling within herself.  Diane was very depressed and suicidal , she never showed this side to anyone so Josie assumed she had her life together and was happy with everything.

One day Josie realized that she had not seen her friend  Diane in a while. Josie asked someone if they had seen Diane,  and that was when Josie was hit with news that changed her life forever! Josie’s best friend had took her fathers gun and shot herself in the head. Josie said that her best friends blood was now on her hands because of her disobedience to invite her to church. If she would have listened to the Holy Spirit her friend could have possibly still be here.

Ever since I heard that testimony I made a vow to myself that I will do what God tells me to do even if I do not understand. I rather be obedient then be disobedient and set myself up for disaster and embarrassment.

When we are being led by the Holy Spirit to do something especially if it is uncomfortable or not “normal” JUST DO IT. We do not need to know why!  We are responsible for telling others about the gospel. Psalm 96:3; Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. If they do not want to listen or if they listen but still continue in their old ways then their blood is not on your hands, because you have told them and warned them about what the gospel says.

Many of us are afraid to correct one another on things that are not of God.  If you see your brother or sister doing or acting a way that is not of Christ it is important that we hold them accountable, remind them what God commands of them and make sure you do it with Love and not as if your belittling them. The way that you go about handling a someone is important, if you handle someone in a way that condemns and not convicts that can cause them to pull away from God. Conviction is different from condemnation because Conviction leads to life for the believer. We must never ignore the Holy Spirits loving discipline. Conviction may hurt in the moment, but unlike condemnation, it will lead to more joy in the end.

  •  Condemnation Leads to Death. Conviction Leads to Life
  • Condemnation Is for the Unbeliever. Conviction Is for the Believer
  • Humans Bring Condemnation. The Holy Spirit Brings Conviction

Romans 8:1;There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

I know that there are young people who feel like they are too young to be used. Some think that they have to be a certain age, or have to have gone through some tough times to be used. You are not to young and God will use you regardless of what you have or have not been through. If you look in the book of Jeremiah he was used as a Teenager. Maybe the “tween” ages I am not exactly sure what age he was. In the book of Jeremiah Chapter 1 verses 4- 10 it speaks on how God tells Jeremiah that he knew him before he was formed in his mother’s womb, before he was born and chose him to do a special work. How awesome is that? Your not even formed yet let alone even thought of and God already had a purpose and calling for your life. .God called Jeremiah to be a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah’s response to God is “ I don’t know how to speak. I am only a Boy”. Jeremiah has the response I am sure we all would have if put in his shoes. He is thinking he is to young to be used by God and to have such a powerful ministry  and have the weight of a nation on your shoulder that’s A LOT  of pressure for someone his age.

God may have given Jeremiah such a great calling but one thing about God is he wont leave you out to dry. He told Jeremiah in verses 9 and 10 ” Then the Lord reached out with his hand and touched my mouth. He said to me, “Jeremiah, I am putting my words in your mouth. Today I have put you in charge of nations and kingdoms. You will pull up and tare down. You will destroy and overthrow. You will build up and plant. God gave Jeremiah an importation from him so he would speak what the Lord has called him to speak. He also gave him instruction and insight as to what he has called him to do while doing the will of Christ.

When I study the bible I always think and ask myself “I wonder what the world would be like is such and such did not adhere to the calling on their life?” One thing is for certain One’s disobedience can effect many. Answer the call. Do not fear cripple you from God assignment on your life. You do not have to have it all together for you to be used mightily. God has specific people for us to come in contact with and we are going to be used in some way to get them to where they need to be for their purpose. However that is only if you are obedient and do what you are being told to do. The theme that I am getting at right now is Obedience. Obedience plays a major role and is a MAJOR key in walking in your assignment. If your not walking in Obedience then what are you doing?

The time is NOW!!! Activate the call on your life. Take a leap of faith and do what the Lord has been calling you to do. It may not make sense, you may not know how it will all come together.. Do not look around for people’s approval. Just have faith and press through. There are no small parts in being a servant of God ( 1 Corinthians 12:12). God will never give you an assignment that he felt you wouldn’t be able to fulfill. SO LETS GET BUSY FOR THE KINGDOM… ACTIVATION ON!!!!

I hope this is encouraging to you all.

I. Love. You. All. ❤

The Thoughts of GLP #rant

I woke up this morning very overwhelmed and anxious! For what?? I don’t know! I mean granted its pretty cold today and its raining outside. Lately a lot of unfortunate events have taken place in the world, and it’s been weighing me down! I really felt lost and confused about life! So as I was getting ready for the day I started praying for souls and other things that have been weighing heavy on me!

Then all of the sudden i started to pray over suicidal thoughts and those who may be battling this thing we call life! I want to encourage my sisters and brothers in Christ to stay encouraged!!! God loves you…I love you! Don’t let what you are going through, what you can’t control get you to a place where you walk in doubt, fear or depression! This is coming from a person who has and does struggle with depression and has for YEARSS!!! It always shows its ugly head up at certain points in my life!

“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”  Zephaniah 3:17

If you feel overwhelmed, lost, useless and just not valued! I am here to tell you, you are valued, loved, cherished! You may have made some mistakes in the past or even present! Do not keep revisiting those memories. It’s time to move on, start a fresh and a new. No one is perfect even though we try to act as if we are. I believe what your going through is for your purpose! Whatever that purpose may be. I feel like challenges that we face in life are not just challenges we go through to say that we went through it. It serves a purpose. Even going back to what I just said ” we go through” that just tells you that this in not your final stop. You are passing through to get to where you need to go!

Be transparent with is our Heavenly Father! When your not sure about something PRAY!!! cry out to God and I mean CRY out to God. There is nothing like a good cry! Cast ALLLL your cares at the feet of Jesus! He wants to hear from you! God waits for you to communicate with Him. You have instant, direct access to God. He sees your hurt, sees your tears and knows all!

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love.  We love because He first loved us.”  1 John 4:18-19

His love is so pure and it’s unconditional! You may think he isn’t there but he is! Talk to him he wants to hear from you do not hold anything in! You have this and will get through this! Push…Push… Push! The enemy will not win!

Remember: Self-Love is not selfishness!

* YOU ARE LOVED

*YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE

*YOU ARE NOT WORTHLESS

*YOU ARE NOT WHAT OR WHO THE WORLD SAYS YOU ARE!

*YOU ARE WORTHY OF LOVE AND JOY

*YOUR LIFE IS A GIFT. YOU WILL USE THIS GIFT WITH CONFIDENCE & JOY!

*YOU WILL SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE WHO WILL HELP BRING THE BEST OUT IN YOU!

* YOU WILL RELEASE YOUR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, EMBRACING POSITIVITY AND OPTIMISM.

*YOU DO NOT NEED SOMEONE ELSE TO FEEL HAPPINESS.

YOU’VE GOT THIS! Stay encouraged, talk to God and/or someone who you trust, or even both!!!! DO NOT KEEP THINGS BOTTLES IN! and most important GOD LOVES YOU, CARES FOR YOU AND HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE!!!

Free your Mind Of People Bondage

It is currently 8:40 am and I had to get out of bed and start to blog. This topic has been heavy on my heart. It is time for us to come out of People Bondage!

I believe that from this point on WE, Yes You and myself will be free from people, how they feel about us, and what they say about us.

I was laying in bed and I rolled over to check what time it was, and it was about 7:40 am. So I roll back over to go back to sleep ( mind you it is Saturday I need my sleep). As I am forcing myself to go back to sleep the enemy starts to taunt me with thoughts that I know are straight from hell. Back story these past few months I’ve been going through A LOT. I have been dealing with my emotions and keeping my mind, I was in such pain and hurt like I’ve never been before because of things and actions done from people. My mind was being attacked with images of such evil and wickedness, things that are not my character, the thoughts and words of hurt that have been said to me by people who I cared so much for.  It was pretty intense. I never felt so much hurt, negativity, pain and a sense of loneliness and feeling lost. I was pleading the blood over my mind and casting down every wicked imagination that was being sent to my mind. It got so bad I had to get up out of bed and seek God.

Who would’ve thought that people bondage could be so strong. How many of us care about what others think/ view us? How many of us care what other say about us? How many of us want to please everyone else but in the meantime fail to pay attention to your own needs? How many of us try to fit in / be accepted by others by any means? If you have said yes to all or even one there is  people bondage.

“STOP ENTERTAINING RELATIONSHIPS THAT PULL YOU BACK TO PLACES THAT GOD FREED YOU FROM.. IF GOD BLOCKED IT DON’T STALK IT”

I know it’s easier said than done when people say to ” Stop caring what others say about you or how others feel about you”. We all have feelings and emotions and that’s okay, that just means we are human. There comes a point however when you have to tell your emotions what to do and where to go. We can’t be led by our emotions. When we are led by our emotions we let spirits of bitterness, anger, resentment, unforgiveness, strife, ect to seep through and taint your heart/spirit. You have to know who YOU are not let the way people look at you SHAPE how you view yourself. I am speaking to myself right now. I am someone who  care about others and has a BIG heart for people, so when I have a fall out or something happens in the friendship/relationship to where it won’t be the same again, it bothers me to my core.

When dealing with people who may not like or care for us we have to rememberFor though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ –2 Corinthians 10:3-5). There is a spirit behind the issues, it is not the person who we have an issue with but the spirit behind it.  The enemy loves to bring contention and division in the body of Christ or even in your family dynamic. So he will make it seem like the issue is with the person but  it is really a spirit. Sometimes some issues are better off being left at the feet of Jesus. We do not need to fight every battle that comes our way. Pick and choose your battles wisely.

The Lord had to show me that some of the friendships that ended drastically or “out of the blue” had to happen because where He was taking me they couldn’t go.  God also  wanted to show me who they really were. Sometimes we are can be blinded by seeing the good in them that we miss red flags that are right in our face.  So sometimes it’s for the best that you be free from some people. It will hurt and be painful but it will be worth it and beneficial in the end.

“It is important that we know who we are and love ourselves. This way when people try to come and tear you down it has no effect on you because you know your worth and your value and you will not let anyone to come and say other wise.”

“Deal with your enemies the way that the Lord commanded us to”

No matter what happens between you and other people never let unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, resentment, hate, strife ect, get build up in your heart towards them. Pray for them daily, you never know what they are going through or what they went through at a young age that they have yet to deal with and get delivered from. When you walk around with wickedness in your heart towards others you are only poisoning yourself with those emotions. They are living their best life and you’re over here stressing, looking angry, distraught and silly. If you walk righteous before God and continue to serve him faithfully and with a pure heart, he will deal with your enemies.

Reminder: Just because you forgive them that does not mean that you need to starting hanging out with them again.

When we get free from people and what they say, act or feel about us, nothing will be able to bring us down. People can be our biggest downfall but always

8 ways to deal with people: ( just a few tips)

Accept that not everyone is going to like you

Try to put a positive spin on what they are saying

Be aware of your own emotions

Don’t take it personally and get some space

PICK YOUR BATTLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t be defensive

Express how you feel calmly and have someone to mediate ( someone mature and wise)

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ( MY FAV)

Ultimately remember that you are in control of your own happiness.

I pray that you received something from this. My prayer is that we will take back our life and our happiness. No longer will we let other control us! IT’S TIME TO BREAK FREE!!!!!

God Bless

Prepare On Purpose… FOR PURPOSE!!!

Mark 13:33

“Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.”

Lord, I thank you for this opportune time that we have to come together and hear from you. Lord I ask that whoever reads this post on ” Prepare on Purpose”, that you will continue to bless and speak to them even after they have read this. Lord, if there is anyone who is currently wanting to be used for your Kingdom but has lost their fire, has let doubt, defeat, the feeling of not being good enough, fear, timid, confusion to creep in or is not sure what exactly they should be doing as far as serving goes. I ask you to direct and order their footsteps, prick their hearts and show them what you have called them to do. Soften hard hearts Lord, and remove all hindrances that are in our life. Let our ears and hearts be open to hear from you on today. I give you the Glory, the Honor and the Praise in Jesus name I pray

Amen!

We must prepare on Purpose  for our Purpose. You never know when your time is going to come. When preparing for your purpose you must always keep in mind the tests that come your way. The tests are not here to distract you or throw you off course. The tests come to show YOU…. YOU. Show you areas that you need more grooming and maturing. When God decides its time for you to walk fully in your purpose you want to be as ready as possible for whatever may come your way. On my journey to finding and fulfilling my purpose I learned  4 Major keys on how to walk into my purpose and own it. I would like to share with you some reminders that I have for myself while I am continuing on my journey of Purpose:

One purpose in life is to get close to God, One purpose in life is to glorify God, One purpose in life is to grow in character, One purpose in life is to tell others about Jesus’ love for them, One purpose in life is to develop your gifts, Do not minimize your role, Do not downplay the value of what you do, What counts is that you are faithful.

                                                 Always Be Ready!

1 Peter 3:15 ; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to give an answer to every man who asketh you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

One thing that I have learned over these past few years in my walk with the Lord is to ALWAYS… ALWAYS BE READY! When you have a heart after God and you want to serve, honor, bless others and  just be a vessel that God uses to changes lives, you must always be ready. You never know when God is going to bring someone in your path that has been appointed to YOU to minister to, pray for, encourage, tell them about God, or even mentor, you never know who God will bring in your path.

Of course you will have days where your on fire for God and ready for God to move and just beaming in his presence. Then you have days where your mind is cluttered with the distractions of life and your focus is off, to the point where the last thing your focused on are kingdom things.

I can vouch for this!!! There would be weeks where I’m just soaking in the presence of God and just happy and content. Then I’ll have a moment where a situation arises and takes all my attention, and I lose focus on my purpose and start focusing on my problems. I would always blame the devil,  and say things like ” this ain’t nothing but the enemy, I was doing good, focused, happy, loving on God and now this or that wants to happen.“. I soon came to realize that sometimes you need a good old pop quiz. We tell God I want you, I want to work  in the ministry, I want to be used by you and when a wrench is thrown into your life its almost like God is saying let me see what my child is going to do if I let this or that happen. Do they really mean what they say?

Even our Character needs to be checked at times because when God uses you in a mighty way and uses you as a mouth piece for Him, He needs to make sure that when mayhem breaks, or things  that should break you and /or would cause people to lose their identity, it wont have that effect on you. Are you going to break character or continue to have that soft, quiet, faithful, humble spirit, and go with the flow? Even though you’re stressed, upset, anxious?!?  When walking in your kingdom purpose you will face many hiccups and rough patches, but you have to remember that the picture is ALWAYS bigger than you.

(Matthew 15:8 ; This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.)

“There is always a ram in the bush so be ready!!”

One bonus key  that I have learned is when seeking God about what it is that HE has put you on this earth to do, it’s important to keep your spirit fed with the Word of God and PRAYER!. You need to be filled with more Word & Prayer than anything else. They go hand in hand and are powerful tools. Take time out of your day, find a quiet place and spend time with God. If the only time you can spare is time at work find a room (car, bathroom, closet, lunchroom ect) and just spend a few minuets. The more word the more revelation. God wants to download so much inside of us.

Do Not Compare!

Galatians 6:4-6 ; Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours , Whoever is being taught God’s word should share the good things they have with the one who is teaching them.

I know I have had my struggles in the area of comparing. I have found myself sizing up to people who have impacted lives and/ or are movers and shakers for the Kingdom. I get that ” I wish I had that calling or anointing” feeling. Feelings like that are common but we need to be careful.  I say that because you can see something and want it but its the motives behind it or the heart behind it that counts.  If your not careful the spirit of covetousness can slither its way into your heart and taint your calling.

Exodus 20:17; You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Whatever your passion is I am sure that there are people  who you admire/ admonish and would like to be in their position. It’s ok to admire someone but when you start feeling jealous/ covetous, or even start to idolize them and try to live like them, that’s when you need to step back, re-evaluate your motives and heart, talk to God, repent, and then regroup.  One thing that we ( including myself) have to stop doing is comparing where we are currently to where someone else is. You do not know what they had to go through to get there, you don’t even know if they are walking in a true calling or walking in disobedience and self. In other words just ” STAY IN YOUR LANE and BE CONTENT”.

God knew your purpose before you were even thought of. Trust the process and enjoy the journey to your destiny. Everyone’s process is different. If its for you God will position you for it. It will all make sense in the end.

Be Content!

Philippians 4:11 “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

Yeah so what if  they have more followers than you and more comments under their posts. If God wanted you to be Instagram famous, Facebook famous, snap chat famous then you would be. I’m embarrassed to say this but tell the truth and shame the devil. I have even entertained the idea of buying followers ( I can laugh and see how silly that is)  but God dealt with my heart and had me checking my motives. God even had to check me and asked me are you doing this for fame & money? or for souls and my Kingdom? I will never forget how I felt when I heard that. I felt like I let God down. Purpose to me means sacrifice, but not the sacrifice as in my life is over but more of a joyful sacrifice knowing that because of my sacrificed more people can be effected for the kingdom.

Be content with where you are right now. God may have you hidden because the world is not ready for what he is about to do, or maybe your not ready, some people need to be dismissed from your company or even because its not the right time. Be Patient and just work on your growth and relationship with Christ. When the time comes God is going to BLOW YOUR SOCKS OFF!!!!

                                                   STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR PURPOSE.

It is important that we do not go ahead of God. Yes, its exciting when you see your purpose coming together and you see the impact that you are having on others, but stay in your lane and do not jump the gun. I literally have this conversation with myself daily because I get excited easily, and there is so much that I want to do and so much that i envision, but I always have to take a step back and ask God if this is something that HE wants me to do. If you do not take anything from this today take this…. Before doing anything that you are not sure of concerning your purpose RUN IT BY GOD! GET THAT CONFIRMATION AND APPROVAL  before doing anything that could be out of the will of God.

I pray you got something out of this!!!!!
